We (Cate and Randy) were raised on family farms in Renfrew County, in the midst of the historic Ottawa Valley. Surrounded by family and neighbours who carried centuries of knowledge, much of that knowledge was passed down to those of us who had an affinity for the 'old ways' and for great food.
After living in western Canada, our hearts brought us back to the Ottawa Valley to raise our sons, and to create The Mix Company many years ago.
Our Gourmet Mixes began as a fun gift for friends when our children were young. In 1999 we began packaging our first Gluten-free mixes, and almost 2 decades later our Gourmet Mix line has grown into something for everyone! We've got it all...tortillas & spice blends, soups & biscuits, muffins & cookies, breads & bagels, pancakes & waffles, dips, dressings...even Doggy Treats for that special pet!
Each Allergen-friendly and Gluten-free mix is carefully blended and packaged for freshness and wholesome flavor. We shop for the freshest organic, local & kosher ingredients so you don't have to. You simply add liquid ingredients and your job is done!

Practices & Standards
All our mixes are made without Gluten, Sugar, Wheat, Dairy, Soy, Corn, MSG, Preservatives, Egg or Yeast, in a dedicated gluten-free facility. All mixes are low-sodium.
We proudly support Ontario and Canadian family farms, and we buy their premium ingredients for fair prices. We source Organic and Kosher where available.
We are registered with FDA and CFIA and use ELISSA testing to ensure GF standards. Our products test below 5ppm gluten consistently.
